For the different location specific demo component implementations there are different data sets available from which questions can be answered. As noted before, the domain for all demo components is the same: cinemas and movie events. However, different data providers at different locations have provided us with different movie event data sets and variably granular information. The following paragraphs briefly summarize the available answer data sets for the different locations.

Saarland (Germany)

For the location dependent subsystem for the Saarland (Germany) cinema and movie data from the local cinema portal zelluloid.de (see Appendix B for acknowledgements) is available. The portal offers information about most cinemas in the region around Saarbrücken including information about the movies that are currently being shown in these cinemas. The following list contains all pieces of information that can be queried:

cinema related:
- name
- city, street, postcode, country
- website, phone number
- start times and dates for all movies currently shown in the cinema
- a comment for each show
movie related:
- title, original title, description, genre
- release date (for Germany), movie rating, duration
- actor names, director names, producer names, writer names

All this data is only available for movie events between March 15 and March 22, 2007.

Have a look at the RDF data file that comes with the AnswerPool demo implementation for Germany to get to know the data you can ask for. Or simply start asking questions like “Which cinemas are there in Saarbrücken?”, “Which movies can I see on the 18th of March 2007?”, etc.

Birmingham (United Kingdom)

The sample data corresponding to this location dependent subsystem describes 50 cinemas and 252 movie showtimes in the area of Birmingham including Wolverhampton and other towns in the region. The following information can be queried:

cinema related:
- name
- address and contact information
- website, phone number
- start times and dates for all movies currently shown in the cinema
- a comment for each show
movie related:
- title, genre
- movie rating, duration
- actor names, director names, writer names

All this sample data is available for movie events during one week from Monday, December 8 until Sunday, December 14, 2008.

Have a look at the RDF data files in order to see exactly what information is covered. Here are some sample questions: “In which cinema can I see the movie Quantum of Solace tomorrow?”, “What type of movie is Changeling?”, “Could you give me the address of Cineworld Wolverhampton?”, “Where can I see High School Musical 3: Senior Year in Wolverhampton this week?”

Alicante (Spain)

For the location dependent subsystem of Alicante (Spain) some data about cinemas and movies were extracted from the Web as well as fictitiously generated. The data contains several instances of cinemas, movies and events reflecting when and where a movie is shown; all these events and cinemas are located in the city of Alicante. Next, the pieces of information that can be queried are listed:

cinema related:
- name
- city, street, postcode, country
- phone number
- start times and dates for all movies currently shown in the cinema
- a comment for each show
movie related:
- title, description, genre
- duration
- director names

All this data is only available for movie events on November 27, 2008.

In addition to the cinema domain data, a few instances about hotels in Alicante are also provided, i.e., questions about hotels can be answered as well if the used language subsystem supports this domain. Regarding hotels the following information can be asked for:

room type, room price
phone number, postal address
facilities such as TV, Internet, etc.

You can carefully have a look at the RDF data file that comes with the AnswerPool demo implementation to get to know the data you can ask for. Additionally, start testing the system with some questions such as “¿Cuál es la dirección del Rastoria?”, “Dime el título de una película de acción.”, “¿Cuál es la descripción de Outlander?”, “¿Dónde se encuentra el Porta Maris?”, “Which cinemas are there in Alicante?”, etc.
